About This Sculpture
Lord Ganesh depicted playing the veena within a temple-arch frame, deeply relief-carved. The instrument, jewellery and drapery are all worked in high relief for a strong shadow line when wall-mounted.

Carved from solid Teak, a dense, termite-resistant hardwood traditionally used for temple woodwork and pieces meant to be passed down for generations.
A hand-rubbed natural varnish finish that protects the panel while showing off teak's warm, golden-brown grain; a multi-colour temple-paint finish can be done on request.
